Sound the alarm

“How do you gather all of that courage / confidence to do certain things?”

“How do you keep yourself in a positive frame of mind when it feels like everything is crashing down around you?”

“How can I summon the mental / physical energy to decide how I want to live versus feeling like I keep on sliding into situations that don’t serve me?

People ask me those kinds of questions all of the time.

My life is beautiful, but it’s not always gliding with flow and ease. It’s filled with normal occurrences of daily living: I have my doubts, fears and lags in energy.

So how do I tap into that part of me that is dynamic, confident, persevering and content? I coach myself … all. 0f. the. time.

Mindset work is the primary way I work with my clients, because if the mind isn’t in gear, it’s hard to make the emotions and actions come to life.

One of my best tip-tricks for staying in my right mind is practical and right at my fingertips.

I alarm myself anywhere from 10 – 12 times daily with messages I need to know about the woman I want to be and how her brain works.

It’s easy.

Go into your phone’s clock and set an alarm (or several) and type in the thought you want to see versus the word “Alarm.”

I set my alarm to “none” when it comes to noise so that I’m the only one in the world who knows what’s up when those thoughts pop up on my phone screen.

What are some of my thought alarms?

  • Notice what’s working.
  • Just show up.
  • Allow.
  • I can handle massive success with grace.
  • I am and will remain lithe, healthy and strong.
  • There is no hurry.
  • Mine the day for gold.
  • Speak it. Do it.
  • You can do hard things.
  • I have all that I need within me.
  • I love you.

Those alarms can be little prayers you can offer up throughout the day.

What do I think it has helped me do?

Well, my business is more successful than ever; I’m facing a decision to start a waiting list for my practice or to turn people away.

My family life is more beautiful than ever.

Over the past year, my body has released 18 pounds it didn’t need and I’ve kept that off — I attribute that to living in deeper awareness in all areas of my life.

Try this out for a week or two.
